Surge-tolerant fuses qualified for telecommunication and networking applications

The 461E series from Littelfuse are surface-mount, surge-resistant fuses designed to serve the requirements of telecommunication and networking equipment.

With optimised opening times at certain overload conditions, 461E series TeleLink® fuses work in harmony with Littelfuse’s new SIDACtor® transient-voltage suppressor products. This combination provides a compliant solution for various standards and recommendations, such as GR–1089–Core, TIA–968–A, UL/EN/IEC 60950 and ITU K.20/.21. The coordination requirement contained in GR–1089–Core and ITU K.20/.21 may require a series impedance device.

Telecom power cross tests have shown that the 461E series opens fast enough to prevent overheating of the over-voltage protection device in the same circuit.
