10A Rectifier Diodes Boost Current Density in Standard Form Factor
With 10A current-handling capability
in 90V or 100V ratings, Vishay
SS10PH9 and SS10PH10 rectifiers
support higher current density in
power-control circuits for increased
performance and smaller size.
The SS10PH9 and SS10PH10 are planar
Schottky diodes in a 3-lead TO-277A surface-mount
case measuring 6.5mm x 4.3mm x1.1mm high.
The package is thermally
enhanced, with
an over-sized cathode connection that
solders directly to the board for maximum
heat dissipation. In addition, a guard ring is
implemented for enhanced
over-voltage protection.
The soldering pad layout is
compatible with lower-rated
diodes in standard
packages, allowing direct
replacement with the
SS10PH9 or SS10PH10 for
higher performance when
upgrading existing board
designs.
Advantages of the planar
Schottky silicon technology
include low forward
voltage of 0.661V at 10A,
low leakage current of
0.3µA, and operation up to
a junction temperature of
175°C.
