Higher-Brightness Versions Released for Half-Watt LEDs
Enhanced package design and InGaNchip
technology allows Avago’s new
white LEDs to be driven at higher
currents. These surface-mount LEDs
dissipate heat more efficiently than
comparable PLCC-4 devices, and as a
result, Avago’s 0.5W cool-white and
warm-white LEDs produce higher light
output with better flux performance.
The ASMT-QxBB Super Power LED series uses an
enhanced silicone resin material to deliver
higher reliability, and to enable operation under
a wide range of environmental conditions.
These characteristics make them suitable for
harsh conditions such as would be expected in
automotive designs or electronic signs and
signals.
To facilitate easy assembly, the LEDs are
delivered in EIA-compliant tape and reel. To
provide close uniformity, every reel is shipped
in single-intensity and sub-colour bins. Avago’s
offering also includes amber, red-orange, red,
blue and green 0.5W LEDs.
