Small-Footprint Drivers for LED-Lighting Applications
Capable of producing output powers
of 30W and 48W and offered with a
3mm x 3mm footprint, ZXLD1356/66
LED drivers enable miniaturised
design for a range of lighting
applications.
Zetex’s ZXLD1356 and ZXLD1366 are continuous-mode
inductive step-down converters capable of
supporting up to 15 LEDs. The highly-integrated
miniature LED drivers offer improved accuracy and
thermal performance.With an output current
accuracy that is typically better than 1%, the
ZXLD1356/66 drivers provide accurate current
matching at working voltages up to 60V.
Adjustable output currents of 550mA and 1A are
delivered by the ZXLD1356 and ZXLD1366
respectively.
These continuous-mode inductive step-down
converters are specifically designed for
driving high-brightness LEDs. To match
brightness requirements, nominal output
current can be set by a resistor and easily
adjusted by applying a PWM or DC signal. A
low-level control signal can be used to turn
the output off, putting the driver into
standby. Implementing these drivers
requires the addition of just three discrete
external components.
