Future starter kit gives head-start for PSoC designs

Future Electronics’ PSoC Dart Starter Board helps embedded designers quickly and easily evaluate the PSoC family from Cypress Semiconductor for development of mixed-signal embedded applications.

The PSoC Dart Starter Board allows engineers to evaluate the performance of PSoC mixed-signal arrays without writing a single line of code. The target PSoC device provided is the Cypress CY8C21434, which allows the user to set-up turnkey demonstrations of Cypress CapSense™ touch sensing and proximity sensing solutions. Spare I/O pins are brought out on a connector, allowing engineers to prototype and evaluate customer-specific circuits.

The device is controlled and programmed from a desktop PC via the Cypress USB-to-I²C interface IC also included on the starter board. Using the Cypress PSoC Express™ visual embedded-system design tool, engineers can quickly modify any of the reference designs or create custom solutions within minutes.
