0805 case-size capacitors offer 220µF/4V CV rating

Leveraging the patented Multi- Array Packaging (MAP) assembly technology, Vishay’s solid tantalum chip capacitors have been extended to offer a high Capacitance/Voltage (CV) rating.

The 298D MicroTan™ series features CV ratings from 1µF/25V to 47µF/4V in a compact 1.60mm x 0.85mm 0603 M-case with a 0.90mm maximum profile.

These capacitors reduce product thickness by requiring less PCB space, making them ideal for audio filtering and signal processing in applications such as mobile phones, digital cameras and MP3 devices. The MicroTan™ series also features a rectangular moulded-case encapsulation for highvolume PCB assembly, and special L-shaped facedown terminations that offer better contact to the solder pad than traditional facedown terminations.
